Ville Larinto (born 11 April 1990 in Lahti) is a Finnish ski jumper. Larinto made his World Cup2007-08, and picked up his first World Cup points in the Four Hills opener at Oberstdorf, Germany on 30 December 2007, when he finished 29th. debut in
The 2008-09 season was his breakthrough season. He began the season with an impressive 9th place finish at Kuusamo, and got his first career podium finish one week later in Trondheim, Norway, where he finished second behind Gregor Schlierenzauer.
Larinto claimed his first World Cup victory on 1 December 2010 at Kuopio.

Janne Mikael Happonen (born 18 June 1984 in Kuopio, Finland) is a Finnish ski jumper who has competed since 2002. He represents Puijon Hiihtoseura as his ski club.
Happonen has a silver medal in the team large hill event at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. He also has two silver medals in the team event at the FIS Ski Flying World Championships, earning them in 2006 and 2008. At the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo, Happonen finished 37th in the individual large hill event.
He has three victories at a variety of hills since 2006 though his lone individual win came in an individual large hill event in Finland in March 2008.
Happonen was one of the five Finns that travelled to Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics. He started in all three competitions and produced good efforts in the Normal Hill competition and the Large Hill (though was sadly disqualified in the Large Hill Competition due to a suit violation). He produced an excellent jump in the second round of the Large Hill Team Event of 139m with style marks of 19's and 19.5's but, unfortunately, it was not enough to earn the Finns a Bronze medal.[1]

Jouni Pellinen (s. 11. toukokuuta 1983) on suomalainen freestyle-laskija, joka on erikoistunut skicrossiin.[1] Pellinen kilpaili aiemmin alppihiihdossa, mutta hän vaihtoi lajia skicrossiin kokeakseen uutta.[2] Hän edustaa Imatran Urheilijoita.[1]
Vuonna 2007 Pellinen osallistui alppihiihdon MM-kisoihin, jossa hän sijoittui supersuurpujottelussa 33:nneksi ja syöksylaskussa 40:nneksi. Alppihiihdon maailmancupissaKranjska Gorassa joulukuussa 2005 ja sijoittui ainoan kerran pisteille joulukuussa 2006 oltuaan 28:s Hinterstoderin supersuurpujottelussa.[3] Pellinen laski ensimmäisen kerran
Ensimmäisen arvokisamitalinsa Pellinen sai Freestylen MM-kisoissa 2011 sijoituttuaan skicrossissa hopealle.[4] Vuonna 2009 hän oli samassa kisassa kuudestoista. Freestylen maailmancupissa Pellinen kilpaili ensimmäisen kerran Tirolissa tammikuussa 2009. Ensimmäiset maailmancupin pisteensä hän sai Flainessa 14. tammikuuta 2009 sijoituttuaan viidenneksi. Myös Innichenissä joulukuussa 2010 hän sijoittui viidenneksi.[1]
Ensimmäisissä X Gameseissaan vuonna 2011 Pellinen sijoittui skicrossissa kahdeksanneksi.[5]

He made his World Cup debut in December 2005 in Kranjska Gora, and collected his first World Cup points in December 2006, with a 28th place in Super-G in Hinterstoder. He also competed at the 2007 World Championships.[1]
In freestyle skiing he made his World Cup debut in January 2009 in St. Johann in Tirol, and collected his first World Cup points the same month, with a 5th place in Flaine and a twelfth place in Lake Placid.[2]
He represents the sports club Imatran Urheilijat.[2]

Enni Rukajärvi (born 13 May 1990)[1] is a snowboarder from Finland. She won the gold medal at the 2011 FIS Snowboarding World Championships in the slopestyle event.[2] Rukajärvi also won gold in Snowboard SlopeStyle at the 2011 Winter X Games XV in Aspen.[3] In the previous season, she had won the TTR World Snowboard Tour.

Niklas Hollsten (born 15 November 1983[1] in Kemiö) is a Finnish freeride snowboarder. He has represented Finland in freeride already for several years. In 2010 Scandinavian freeride championships he won the gold medal.[2] Furthermore he in overall 2010 freeride world qualifier ranking he received the third place.[3] He is also the first ever Finnish male who participated Freeride World Tour.[4] Though Hollsten has a freestyle and boardercross background right now he conmpetes only in freeride.

Markus Malin (born May 28, 1987) is a Finnish snowboarder. He competed for Finland at the 2010 Winter Olympics in the halfpipe, finishing 11th.[1] Malin won the bronze medal at a 2008-09 World Cup event at Stoneham Mountain Resort in the halfpipe.[2] He also won bronze at the 2010 Canadian Open, a tune-up for the Olympics.[3]
Malin is also a constant competitor at events of the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour. After finishing the 08/09 season already in the Top 10 of the Tour, he ended the 09/10 season in World No. 3 of the world ranking list thanks to some good results like a third place at the 5Star Burton Canadian Open and a fourth place finish at the 6Star O'Neill Evolution and the 6Star Burton US Open.

Janne Korpi (born in Vihti on February 5, 1986) is a Finnish snowboarder and harness racing driver.
He competed for Finland at the 2006 Winter Olympics and Finland at the 2010 Winter Olympics.[1]
Janne Korpi is a son of Pekka Korpi, one of the most famous harness racers in Finland. Janne himself has also successfully raced in harness racing.

Risto Mattila (born February 4, 1981, Kannus, Central Ostrobothnia) is a Finnishsnowboarder. He is an all-around rider, who has many achievements in half pipe, big air and in park riding contests. He has also made a name by having shots in the international snowboarding magazines. He is well known as a confident rider and because of his smooth style.

Biography
Mattila was born in Kannus, which is located in Central Ostrobothnia which is well known for its flat surface. Risto started snowboarding at the age of 13 in a small resort called Louekallio, together with Olympic bronze medallist Markku Koski.
Career
During his snowboard career Risto has obtained many good results, including many wins in FIS world cup and other snowboarding invitational contests.
Mattila participated in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, finishing 16th in men's halfpipe. He also represented Finland at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, finishing 10th in men's halfpipe.[1]
Mattila's 2006-2007 season has started promisingly, and Risto has placed as a second in Air & Style and third in X-Trail Jam, both much respected competitions in the snowboarding world. Mattila also won the 2007 Nissan X-Trail Big Air in Japan
Most recently Mattila participated in the 2008 Toyota Big Air and placed 2nd to his fellow Flow teammate and friend Antti Autti
Off the snow
When Risto is not snowboarding he usually spends time in Helsinki with his friends. He likes Finnish candies, good food, ketchup and movies. His hobbies besides snowboarding are skateboarding, breakdance and tennis.

Eero Ettala ist Gewinner des freestyle.ch 2006, Zürcher freestyle.ch 2009 und des Big Air Championships in Tokio.[1] Er ist seit dem Jahre 2000 Team-Rider von Nitro. Eero Ettala fährt neben Nitro auch für Oakley, Level, Bakoda, TSG, DVS, Airblaster, Ogio, Villawool, Clastzoo, Ponke´s, Northstar und Red Bull. Er ist der erste Rider, der den Double Backside Rodeo 1080„Follow Me Around“. Er ist neben dem Amerikaner Shaun White wohl einer der besten Snowboarder der Welt. gestanden hat. Seinen wohl besten Part zeigt er im MDP-Film
Eine große Stütze seiner Bekanntheit ist das deutsche Snowboardmagazin Pleasure, das sein erstes großes Interview und das erste gedruckte Poster von ihm machte.

Antti-Matias Antero Autti (born March 15, 1985 in Rovaniemi, Finland) is a Finnishsnowboarding star who shot to fame when he defeated big-name talents Danny Kass, Andy Finch, and Shaun White in the Men's Superpipe at the 2005 Winter X Games to claim the gold. He is one of two snowboarders, along with Steve Fisher, ever to beat Shaun White in the X Games Superpipe.
Autti is the first non-American to win the event. He kicked off his final run with back-to-back 1080s, one of the hardest snowboarding tricks, and is only the third snowboarder to land the sequence in competition, behind Michael McBee and Ross Powers.
His clutch and technical performance sparked the "1080 Revolution" and set a new standard in men's halfpipe competition, where men must throw at least one 1080, if not two back-to-back, in order to do well in contests. Just two weeks earlier, he was crowned double World Champion in Big Air and the halfpipe at the 2005 Snowboarding World Championships in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.

Biography
Born to Yrjö and Katariina Autti, Autti hails from Rovaniemi, a 55,000 population city that sits on the Arctic Circle and is considered the gateway to the Lapland region of Finland. Athletic genes run in his family - Autti's younger brother Tuomas is an aspiring freestyle skier, and his uncle is Arto Autti, who was a defender on the Finnish National football team. Autti started snowboarding in spring 1995 after he saw someone snowboarding while on a skiing vacation with his family at the Ylläs ski center in Lapland.
Career
2004-2005
Following his breakthrough at the World Championships and the Winter X Games, Autti went on to finish second at the 2005 Nippon Open, third at the 2005 U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships and first in Big Air at the Arctic Challenge, the exclusive snowboarding event founded by Terje Haakonsen. He was also awarded Best Tweak for his switch backside 540, which is his favorite trick.
In April 2005, it was officially announced that Autti will represent Finland at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Because of this honor, he received a piece of land in Rovaniemi, on which he hopes to build a new home.
Over the summer of 2005, Autti purchased an apartment, which he is still trying to furnish. At the end of July, he competed in Nokia's Totally Board in Taiwan. Autti embarked on Billabong's Freeway Tour in August, which spirits Billabong-sponsored riders to various contests in Australia and New Zealand. He won the Perisher Pipe Cup and took third in the Slopestyle Jam. It was Autti's first time Down Under, and he likes New Zealand's famed Snowpark because it is like a "big playground," and it reminds him of Finland because "you can see everyone from the lift." Australian snowboarders on the Tour, Nick Gregory and Clint Allan, introduced Autti to their country's native wombats and kangaroos and got him addicted to pies.
2005-2006
Autti kicked off the 2005-2006 World Cup season with third and first place finishes in Valle Nevado, Chile in September. He followed it in October with a second place podium in Saas-Fee, Switzerland.
During Finland's Annual Skiexpo in November 2005, Autti was awarded Rider of the Year by Slammer Magazine's Riders of the Year Awards. He received the most votes in a readers internet poll. He also finished ninth in Finland's annual Sports Athlete of the Year poll, voted on by sports magazine journalists.
Before the end of 2005, Autti competed in the X-Trail Jam in Japan and finished fifth in the quarterpipe and fourth in the straight jump. For his banner year, he was invited to Finland's President's Ball in December, an annual banquet honoring all of the elite athletes, politicians, celebrities, and public figures in Finland. Autti attended the event with Mattila, where they met the President, Tarja Halonen — who was re-elected for a second term on January 29, 2006 — and her husband Pentti Arajävi.
Autti competed in the Burton European Open in Laax, Switzerland in January 2006, taking second place in slopestyle. Two days later, riding with a bruised rib, he finished fourth in the halfpipe.
At the 2006 Winter X Games, the extremely icy pipe proved to be hazardous to numerous riders, including Autti, and he came up short in his defense of his gold medal, finishing sixth.
Two weeks later at the 2006 Winter Olympics, despite a near-flawless run, he finished fifth with a controversial low score of 39.1 that elicited plenty of "boo's" from fans in the stands. Bronze medalist and teammate Markku Koski felt the same way, stating it should have been Autti on the podium.
After a two week stay in Japan, Autti returned to the top of the podium at the Vans Cup at Tahoe in March and pocketed $20,000. He finished the season with a sixth place finish in the quarterpipe and 10th place finishes in the halfpipe and slopestyle at the 2006 U.S. Open.
In April 2006, Autti and his Flow teammates swept the TransWorld Team Challenge, taking five awards, including Best Halfpipe Rider for Autti.
In December 2006, he scored 3rd place at the Nokia Air & Style in Munich, Germany. The Air & Style is considered one of the biggest and most prestigious events in Europe.
2008-2009
Autti participated in the Winter X Games 12. He finished 3rd in Best Trick Showdown, 7th in Snowboard Superpipe, and 4th in Snowboard Slopestyle. Most recently he won the 2008 Toyota Big Air Japan beating his fellow Flow teammate Risto Mattila, who came in second place.

Off the snow
Autti, who speaks Finnish, English and Swedish, enjoys skateboarding, photography, salmiakki, movies (especially Johnny Depp films) and music. Some of his favorite artists include Turbonegro, The Hellacopters, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, David Bowie, Social Distortion, The Datsuns and Mötley Crüe. He listened to Mötley Crüe's "Kickstart My Heart" — which he dubs "probably the best song ever" — during his gold medal-winning run at the 2005 X Games. Autti's favorite drink is scotch without rocks, and he says he would be a bartender if he were not a snowboarder. He says he cannot define himself as an athlete in the traditional sense because "in my opinion I'm a snowboarder and my own person." The best part of being a professional snowboarder, he feels, is traveling around the world, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures.
Always calm, cool and collected, Autti tries not to stress himself out too much if he is not riding well because he believes it is important to not lose the fun of snowboarding, echoing his advice to future shredders: "It'd be best if people that throw themselves into snowboarding understood what this sport is about. The competitions alone don't mean everything. There'll always be more of them. In my opinion, the fun going-ons and the smile on your face are a lot more important. Doing well's nice, no doubt about it, but it's important that you don't lose the pleasure of the riding itself in the competing."
