The Slovenian men's national ice hockey team, also known as the Lynx (Slovene: Risi), is currently ranked 17th in the world by IIHF as of the 2009 IIHF World Ranking. The team is controlled by the Ice Hockey Federation of Slovenia. Slovenia has only 980 players (0.05% of its population) but has managed to join group A and play among the 16 best teams in the world. Their best ever record is 13th place. Their current coach is John Harrington
